Athato Foundation News - 2019 -20

More Kasarabada Scholars Programs added

 

It is a pleasure to detail the activities of the Athato Foundation, a Kasarabada Trust, starting with the new additions in 2019-20.

1 Athato Foundation added to the Kasarabada Scholars program at the PR Govt College , Kakinada, AP , by instituting two more scholarships carrying award of Rs 1000 per month to each student in the in the Post Graduate MSc ( Physics) degree program at the college. These Scholarships were instituted in June 2019. These were instituted in the name of Padmashri Pandit Vijay Raghav Rao famous flutist and musician par excellence. Mrs Lakshmi Vijayraghavrao supported this program with a donation of Rs one Lakh towards the corpus. The college consented to take the responsibility of selecting and awarding the students based on Merit. The total number of Scholarships at Govt P R College now become five.

2 Athato Foundation instituted the Kasarabada Scholars program at the Hindu College Guntur, AP , which supports three scholarships carrying award of Rs750 per month to each student in the three year BSc degree program at the college. These Scholarships are part of the plan for the year 2019-20. At Guntur the Kasarabada Trust earlier instituted two awards for Best Student in the name of Kasarabada Gopala Krishna garu and the Best Teacher award in the name of Padmashri Pandit Vijay Raghav Rao garu.

3 Athato Foundation continues the Kasarabada Scholars program at the Govt Arts College , Rajahmundry , AP , which supports three scholarships carrying award of Rs750 per month to each student in the three year BSc degree program at the college. These Scholarships are part of the plan for the year 2019-20.

4 Athato Foundation is committed to continuing the Kasarabada Scholar program at Gayathri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering for four students . The Kasarabada Scholar receives Rs.2000/per month for the nine months of the academic calendar amounting to Rs 18000/. This Year the scholarship program of the foundation was supported by the generous contribution to the corpus by Mr Ramaseshu Kasarabada who donated Rupees seventy two Thousand towards this cause ( Corpus of the foundation). We are extremely grateful for the generous support which allowed the foundation to meet its commitments.

5 During this year Athato Foundation plans to continue to support the school program by providing funds for the purchase of books to the School Library..

Thus a total of 15 Scholars are supported by the Athato Foundation , apart from the two awards the MGH School, Guntur.

As can be seen the Trust itself has been the beneficiary of the genorsity of the patrons. The support thus received goes a long way towards establishing the long term stability of the Trust activities through Athato Foundation
